Programme description (brief)

Whether it's for the aircraft industry, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or the chemical industry – it's hard to imagine any product or field without electrical engineering and electronics. Energy technology will also be of great importance in the future in connection with automation technology, as safe, reliable, environmentally friendly and economical energy supply is one of the central pillars of our industrial society and the guaranteeing of global energy supplies is set to become one of the challenges of the future.

Electrical engineers need to be flexibly employable in a diverse range of different functions and fields of activities. In research they develop technical bases with scientific methods at universities and academic institutions. In major electrical engineering companies they work in research and development, design, production and quality assurance or with systems planning, software technology, sales and distribution or services.

In the renowned university classification published by the weekly newspaper "Die Zeit" and the Centre for Higher Education (CHE), the Electrical Energy Engineering faculty earned excellent marks.
