Programme description (brief)
The course in Mechatronics combines the the fields of mechanics, electronics and IT to form a modern engineering discipline. Interdisciplinary systems thinking is particularly in focus to be able to understand and coordinate the effects of mechanical and electronic components using intelligent software.
Mechatronics has a long-lasting influence on the field of mechanical engineering and the related industry. It is a key discipline in the aerospace industry and the automotive industry.
Typical examples for mechatronic systems are modern robots and automated production lines, vehicles with innovative technologies, such as "drive by wire" and microprocessor-controlled, multifunctional household devices.
