ERASMUS+ Mobility programs 2014-2021
ERASMUS+ at South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences
Students enrolled at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences can study for up to two semesters (a maximum of 12 months) at a European Partner institution .
Credits obtained during the ERASMUS exchange are normally recognized by the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences. Due to this credit agreement the duration of study will normally not increase.
Students taking part in an ERASMUS exchange do not have to pay tuition fees.
To support the students financially during their stay abroad, ERASMUS+ grants of the European commission are available. The grants will amount to between €330 and €450 per month during the period of 2020/2021.
Conditions for the exchange program:
- You have talked in person to the staff at the International Office about your plans. (contact details see below)
- You must be enrolled in a study program of the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences and must have completed at least the first year of study before your study abroad period.
- You must have sufficient knowledge of the language of instruction at the receiving institution.
- Students with a registered disability can apply for an additional grant to cover the higher costs during the stay abroad.

- Application Form to be filled out electronically and signed by hand
- Motivation letter explaining the benefits of your study abroad both from a personal and from an academic point of view.
- Grade transcript
- Language certificate confirming proficiency in the language of instruction at receiving institution
- CV/ Resume with photo
